In the pure tradition of bourgeois bastides of Southern France, this magnificent master's house overlooks the surrounding countryside without any overlooking neighbours, while remaining close to shops and restaurants.
It extends over a wooded terrain of 35,000 m2 in terraces, with an olive grove of 750 trees, a field of vines and a forest of oak and pine trees.
5 minutes from the idyllic Provençal village of Cotignac - weekly market all year round, flea markets, concerts and open-air cinema festival during holiday seasons and 40 minutes from Lake Ste Croix and the Verdon Gorges.
The Bastide offers an area of over 350m2 across three levels, with very beautiful volumes.
Ground Floor:
By pushing the beautiful wooden entrance door, one discovers, on the right, a small television lounge followed by a large open kitchen, equipped with all modern comforts and a large table for indoor meals. The kitchen opens onto the main terrace facing East with a large outdoor table for summer meals shaded by majestic plane trees (gas barbecue available).
On the left of the entrance door is a pantry / laundry room; and a toilet at the foot of a wide staircase to reach the upper floors.
We can accommodate up to 14 people spread across 6 rooms.
On the 1st floor, on the right when leaving the stairs, there is a large double room (180x200 bed) with an adjoining shower room.
On the left, there is a large living room with an open fireplace and which leads to a beautiful family suite in duplex consisting of a triple room (1 bed 160x200 + 1 bed 90x200) with its adjoining bathroom and a double room (180x200) with its adjoining shower room. A door allows direct access to the garden at the back of the house.
On the 2nd floor, on the left are 2 double rooms equipped with twin beds (4x 90x200), which share a beautiful bathroom on the landing offering bath and shower.
On the right, 1 triple room (1 bed 160x200 + 1 bed 90x200) with its adjoining bathroom.
Outdoor areas
For your private use: boules court, large swimming pool, tennis court, ping pong table and 3.5 hectares of garden.
The swimming pool, which measures 10mx5m, is located a short distance from the house in a lawn-surrounded garden. An alarm ensures the safety of the youngest, and sunbeds are installed around it to enjoy the sunshine. The pool can be heated upon request.
Supplements to be planned:
End of stay cleaning is mandatory, an intermediate cleaning can be considered upon request.
Household linen is optional (2 towels, sheets and kitchen cloths) and pool towel

L’Alerie is a magnificent property which for its size and type is as close to the village (20-25 mins enjoyable walk) as you can expect. The outlook is magnificent and one could rest and relax in the Provençal environment without having to go on advesee more
L’Alerie is a magnificent property which for its size and type is as close to the village (20-25 mins enjoyable walk) as you can expect. The outlook is magnificent and one could rest and relax in the Provençal environment without having to go on adventures every day. It was a great place and we will definitely try and rent it again.
While it sleeps 12 comfortably , I think a group will not want to be more than three couples otherwise the ambiance will be lost. Thankyou to the owners for sharing it with us. |
